Note: Do not enter the area code if the number you are dialing is a local call. Modems ignore hyphens, so it doesn't matter if you include them or not.

Windows Vista

1. Click on the Start button then Connect To.
2. RIGHT-click on your dial-up connection icon and choose Properties.
3. Update the dial-up phone number if necessary and click OK.

Windows XP

1. Click on Start (then Settings if it exists) then Control Panel.
2. If you see Pick a category, click on Network and Internet Connections.
3. Double-click the Network Connections icon.
4. RIGHT-click on your dial-up connection icon and choose Properties.
5. Update the dial-up phone number if necessary and click OK.

Windows 2000

1. Click on Start then Settings then Control Panel.
2. Double-click the Network Connections icon.
3. RIGHT-click on your dial-up connection icon and choose Properties.
4. Update the dial-up phone number if necessary and click OK.

Windows 95, 98, ME

1. Double-click the My Computer icon on your desktop.
2. Double-click the Dial-up Networking icon.
3. RIGHT-click on your dial-up connection icon and choose Properties.
4. Update the dial-up phone number if necessary and click OK.

Mac OS X

1. From the main desktop, click the Apple menu then System Preferences.
2. Under the Internet & Network section, choose Network.
3. Click the PPP tab.
4. Update the dial-up phone number if necessary and click Apply Now.

Mac OS 9

1. From the main desktop, click the Apple menu then Control Panels then Remote Access.
2. Update the dial-up phone number if necessary.
