Why does the modem disconnect when I try to dial-up?
This is probably due to a mis-set setting in your Network Tallahassee connection profile.
  1. Open up Dial-Up Networking, select the Network Tallahassee "Phonebook entry."
  2. Click on the [More] button and choose, "Edit entry and modem properties..."
  3. From the "Basic" tab, make sure the following settings are correct:
    Phone number: (see Network Tallahassee Account Settings)
    [Configure...] button
  4. From the "Server" tab, make sure the following settings are correct (see image below):

  5. From the "Security" tab, make sure the following setting is correct:
    Authentication and encryption policy: Accept any authentication including clear text
